A woman died in a car crash this morning after she lost control of her vehicle in Edgeworth.

Kellie Hankinson, 26, of Sewickley, was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:20 a.m., according to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office.

The accident took place in the 400 block of Woodland Road and the wreckage was reported at 3:11 a.m. by a newspaper delivery person.

Ms. Hankinson was not wearing her seatbelt when her car hit and broke a tree after losing control. Her black Mitsubishi was found upside down, according to Edgeworth police.

There were no witnesses to the accident and nobody else was injured.
