Mt. Lebanon hoped it could make a run at a winning streak against undefeated teams.
Instead, Shaler's Jesse Della Valle ran all over the Blue Devils.
The senior all-purpose player rushed for 128 yards on 28 carries and scored two touchdowns as Shaler knocked off the Blue Devils, 21-12, yesterday in a Class AAAA non-conference contest at Shaler.
The win keeps the Titans (4-0) the only undefeated team in the Northern Six heading into conference play.
After a scoreless first quarter, Della Valle ran 2 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter and added a 51-yard touchdown run to give the Titans an early 14-0 lead.
The Blue Devils got on the board late in the second quarter when running back Luke Alberts ran 10 yards for a score. But a blocked extra-point attempt kept Mt. Lebanon eight points down heading into halftime.
