Accounting

Alpern Rosenthal promoted Patricia Giudici and Stacey Yablonski to managers, accounting and audit department.

Maher Duessel hired Mallory Daniels and Anthony Natale, staff accountants.

Carbis Walker LLP promoted to supervisor level Tim Adams, member, construction & real estate services team; Darrell Carley and Rachel Gordon, members, manufacturing and distribution services team; and Jessica Kline, member, health care services team. Christina Marinoff, member, tax services, was promoted to senior associate level, and Kelly Domenick, tax services team, and Kelly Nord, audit and consulting, to senior manager level.

Hill, Barth & King LLC hired Benjamin DiGirolamo as an associate.

Associations

Henry M. Sneath was named chair of the intellectual property section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association for the PBA year 2009-2010. Mr. Sneath is an intellectual property and commercial litigation principal attorney with the Picadio Sneath Miller & Norton.

The Nine Mile Run Watershed Association elected members to its board for a three-year term: Craig Dunham, principal, The Rubinoff Co.; John Moyer, adult and child psychotherapist, Family Resources; James Nesbitt, co-founder and creative director, Wall-to-Wall Studios; Scott Rosenblum, program associate/executive liason, Jewish Healthcare Foundation; MaryRose Walko, program coordinator, Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council; Matthew Wholey, assistant district attorney, Allegheny County; Lois Winslow, director of education, Children's Museum of Pittsburgh.

Education

The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine named Dr. Donald M. Yealy, an award-winning researcher and educator, chair of the department of emergency medicine.

Financial

Patrick Drazga formed Drazga Wealth Advisors LLC and is president. It focuses on investment advisory and financial planning services.

Health & Medicine

St. Clair Hospital said pain management specialist Dr. Albert J. Carvelli joined its staff.

Family Hospice and Palliative Care promoted Kathy Little to senior liaison and Peter Reinhart joined as clinical supervisor at Anderson Manor, which serves patients in Beaver and Butler counties.

Alle-Kiski Medical Center hired orthopedic surgeon Dr. Raymond R. Drabicki to its medical staff. Dr. Drabicki joined Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates, with offices in Brackenridge and Pittsburgh.

Jameson Health System elected its board: Chairman, Lee Silverman; vice-chairman, Steven Warner; secretary, Kenneth Romig; treasurer, Ben Huffman. And Frank Moses, vice-president, New Era Realty Co. Inc., and Michael Wish, CEO, Wish Development, were appointed to the Jameson Hospital board.

Catherine Angle was appointed director of nutritional services, Canonsburg General Hospital.

Manufacturing

Carl R. Pearson Sr. joined Knichel Logistics as vice president, national accounts.

Nonprofit

Elisabeth Bennington, partner, Pollock Begg Komar Glasser LLC, was elected to the board of Bethlehem Haven. She focuses on divorce, support and custody law.

Butler Red Cross named Scott Snyder executive director.
