Q: How does this years team compare to the last 4-5 years?
Sam Dormont, Paden City, W.Va.
DUNLAP: Sam, I think it is a little too early to tell. Check with me at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, after the Auburn game, and I will have a better pulse. Through the first two games, I think Jarrett Brown has been a tremendous surprise, and while everyone knew he was a decent athlete, I don't think a lot of people understood how good he could be. He is showing it right now. Also, Noel Devine has yet to really get it going, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, considering how you look at it. In terms of how they compare to the teams of recent vintage, like I said, it is too early to tell.
But, I know that the injuries to Reed Williams and Scooter Berry, and how those two huge pieces of the defense bounce back from them, will go a long way to not just defining the Auburn game and the season, but how this team goes down in Mountaineers history.
