Q: I know it's super super early in the season, but what do you think of Jarrett Brown? As a more traditional passer than Pat White, do you think he has a chance to be playing on Sunday next year if he keeps up with this kind of productivity?

Bob Reinard, Chicago

DUNLAP: Absolutely he does have a chance to be an NFL guy. And if Jarrett Brown keeps playing the way he did in the first two weeks, there is going to be a statue of him in front of the Mountainlair.

In all seriousness, what he has most going for him is his size (6-4, 220-something) and his ability to keep plays alive. Jarrett is big enough to stand in the pocket and absorb a hit, but also has this innate sense of being able to know precisely when to tuck it under, get out of dodge and get moving with the ball. What has also impressed me is his ability to throw the deep ball. The first deep one to Arnett in the ECU game was a tremendous throw. The touchdown to Tavon Austin was a tad bit underthrown, but Brown did a good job of recognizing the receiver who made a move on the inside guy and getting some air under the ball.

So, long story short, he has a chance to play on Sundays, yes.
