Music director Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra open the season with a European Festival Tour, Sept. 15-19. The tour begins with stops in Germany in Essen and Bonn, with a debut in the Beethovenfest, and continues with two concerts at the Lucerne Festival in Switzerland.
