Seven houses ranging from restored Victorians to an unrestored stone mansion to contemporary townhouses will be open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 4 for the Shadyside House Tour.

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 on the day of the tour at Winchester Thurston School. Advance tickets are available at Eureka! Chocolates and Gifts, Shadyside Hospital and Hillman Cancer Center gift shops or by sending a self-addressed, stamped envelope and a check made out to: Shadyside Action Coalition, Box 10149, Pittsburgh, PA 15232. Mail orders will not be processed after Sept. 30.
