Landau Building Co. continues ongoing renovations of the Andrew Carnegie Free Library & Music Hall. The Civil War Room is being restored.
Local veterans of that war used this room from 1906 to the mid-1930s to hold meetings and to house collections of their flags, books, prints and relics. Landau also will replace the 780 seats in the music hall.
Castcon Stone Inc. was awarded a $500,000 contract to produce precast concrete stairs and landings for use in the new Port Authority Transit Hub Station located beneath the site of the World Trade Center in New York City. Castcon will supply 105 flights of concrete stairs and 36 landings. The final delivery for the project will be made in 2013.
