A man was killed early this morning when his motorcycle struck the side of a tractor-trailer in South Huntingdon, Westmoreland County.

Brian Lee Yezek, 28, of Mount Pleasant, died after his motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve entering the interstate, traveled across a grass median and the shoulder where it hit the side of the westbound tractor-trailer around 1:10 a.m.

Westmoreland County Deputy Coroner F. Christopher O'Leath pronounced Mr. Yezek dead at the scene.

Officials said Mr. Yezek was not wearing a helmet. State police from the Belle Vernon barracks are investigating.
