
What: The 28th annual Great Trail Festival, tomorrow through Monday, at the Great Trail Festival Grounds on State Route 43, 18 miles southeast of Canton.

What to do: This is a French and Indian War-era re-creation and celebration of American folk art near the Great Indian Trail, the route Col. Henry Bouquet followed in 1764 to the Muskingum Valley in Ohio to quell the Indian uprising known as Pontiac's Rebellion shortly after the French and Indian War. See buckskinners, fur trappers and blanket traders, tepee lodges and scores of artisans and musicians. The State of Ohio Tomahawk Throwing Championship will take place at noon Monday.
