Port Authority to hold public hearing on bus service changes

A public hearing on the fare increase and Port Authority's proposed service changes will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Pittsburgh Marriott City Center Hotel on Washington Place near Mellon Arena.

Comments will be limited to three minutes. Speakers are encouraged to register in advance by calling 412-566-5437 or TTY (for the hearing-impaired) 412-231-7007 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. weekdays.

Comments also can be submitted in writing through 4 p.m. Sept. 30 by mail to Port Authority Fare and Service Proposals, Heinz 57 Center, 345 Sixth Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222-2527 or by visiting tdp.portauthority.org.

The final draft of proposed service revisions, including route-by-route detail, can be viewed at tdp.portauthority.org.

Copies also are available at the authority headquarters, 345 Sixth Ave., Downtown; its Downtown service center, 534 Smithfield St.; the Carnegie Library branches in Woods Run, Homewood, Carrick, West End, Hill District and Oakland; and at the Shaler, North Hills, Bethel Park, Monroeville, Robinson and Braddock Carnegie libraries.
