The state record is 27 pounds, 13 ounces. Rough conditions have hampered fishing intermittently in recent days. Yesterday, a cold front was forecast. When conditions allowed, anglers were catching nice numbers and sizes of walleyes in 56-70 feet from Walnut Creek to the Ohio line, and perch in 56-57 feet out of Walnut. Anglers were catching panfish and largemouth bass in Presque Isle Bay, where heavy underwater vegetation called for weedless lures.
