Georgia (2-0) is in good shape to advance to the next round. The team comes from the same Warner Robins league that won the World Series two years ago.

Former Indiana University basketball coach Bob Knight will be inducted into the university's athletics Hall of Fame nearly a decade after he was fired for violating a zero-tolerance policy imposed by then-IU President Myles Brand. The announcement by Indiana is the first move to bring the two sides together since Knight was fired in 2000 for what school officials called a "pattern of unacceptable behavior." Whether Knight will attend the Nov. 6 induction ceremony in Indiana is unknown.
Roger Federer had lost four consecutive matches against Andy Murray before beating him to reach the final of the Cincinnati Masters in Mason, Ohio. Federer won, 6-2, 7-6 (8), and will face face Novak Djokovic in today's final. Djokovic earned his second consecutive appearance in the final with a 6-1, 6-4 victory against Rafael Nadal.

The Pittsburgh Colts defeated the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Spartans, 26-14, last night at Ambridge's Moe Rubenstein Stadium to win the Grassroots Football League championship. The victory qualifies the Colts (10-1) for the National Minor Pro Football playoffs next month.
