Height: 6-6 Weight: 280 Position: OL-DL Year: Senior

The skinny: He is considered one of the top offensive linemen in the state. He is ranked the No. 11 offensive guard in the country by scout.com and No. 15 by rivals.com. He will play offensive tackle this season, but major colleges recruited him as either a guard or center.

College talk: He made a verbal commitment to Penn State in the spring. Pitt, Virginia, Stanford, Florida State and Maryland were some of the other schools that offered scholarships. He is one of three offensive linemen from the WPIAL who have committed to Penn State.

You're playing tackle, but your future is at guard or center? That's what I was told. I don't really have a preference. I'm used to both. I've played every position on the offensive line from center all the way to tight end. My freshman year, I played a little tight end.

You have a new head coach this year in t.j. Wiley. How different will the offense look? Of course, he's bringing in his own package. He has different ways of attacking. We'll be extremely balanced is the best way to describe it.

Do you think, in general, most high school athletes like or dislike their coach? That's a tough question. From what I've experienced, last year at our place people put a lot of blame on our coaches. This year, there is anticipation and excitement because it's a new coach. In all sports, I think it all depends on whether you're winning or losing and if you're getting a lot of playing time. If you're in the game, you like the coach. If not, people tend to have resentment.

Why does penn state coach joe paterno keep having pretty good recruiting classes? The coaching staff is obviously great. The tradition is excellent and it's a great campus. I think all-around it's a great college town and great place to spend four years.

Do you use Twitter? I hate to sound like Joe Paterno, but I have no idea what it even is.

Facebook or MySpace? Neither. I don't have time for that.

Last concert you attended? I was going to go see the Clarks at the Fayette Country Fair, but didn't. Before then, it's been a while.

People might be surprised to know that ... I'm pretty typical, I guess. Maybe that I have good grades [4.1 GPA].
