Three Bedford County teens were killed Monday night when the car they were traveling in pulled into oncoming traffic and was struck, state police said.
The crash happened just before 8 p.m. at Ferguson and Valley roads in Napier, when the teens, in a 1999 Plymouth Neon, pulled onto Valley Road into the northbound path of a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, according to police.
The Neon driver, 17-year-old Steven Mowery, and the front-seat passenger, 15-year-old Brandi Strom, were pronounced dead at the scene. A man in the back seat, Roger James McGarry, 18, of Bedford, was taken by helicopter to Altoona Trauma Center, where he later died.
None of the teens was wearing a seat belt.
The driver of the SUV suffered moderate injuries, police said.
