Point Park University has joined a list of campuses announcing plans to close when the G-20 Summit comes to Pittsburgh next month.
The Downtown school, including its residence halls, will be closed from Sept. 23 through Sept. 26, said Terra McBride, a university spokeswoman.
Just over a quarter of Point Park's 3,800 students live in residence halls, and Ms. McBride said the school would make arrangements for students unable to go home or find other accommodations to stay on campus during those days.
The Community College of Allegheny County, Duquesne University and the downtown campus of Robert Morris University have already announced plans to close during the summit amid concerns about traffic and demonstrations.
