A Uniontown man was killed last night when the motorcycle he was operating struck the rear of another vehicle in Fayette County.

The victim, Shawn P. Keller, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10:17 p.m. accident--Route 40 at New Beaver Creek Road in Henry Clay Township.

State police said Mr. Keller was operating his Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Route 40 when he struck the rear of a Honda Passport driven by Stephen M. Witt, 37, of Markleysburg, Fayette County.

Mr. Keller was wearing a helmet, state police said. Mr. Witt was not injured.
