A former Mt. Lebanon High School teacher and tennis coach was ordered to serve house arrest and probation for sexually soliciting an undercover officer posing online as a 14-year-old girl.
Nicholas E. Salvo, 35, of Mt. Lebanon, will serve eight months of house arrest and five years probation under the sentence ordered today by Allegheny County Judge John A. Zottola.
Mr. Salvo was arrested last August after, according to a criminal complaint, he sent explicit videos to an undercover agent with the state attorney general's office posing as a 14-year-old girl. Mr. Salvo chatted with the agent several times, the complaint states, and sent nude Webcam videos of himself to her.
Mt. Lebanon schools suspended Mr. Salvo immediately upon his arrest and barred him from school property. His lawyer said today he will not be returning to Mt. Lebanon and has been otherwise employed.
