Yesterday: Kalamazoo Kings 8, Washington 3.

Game recap: Deston Makonnen's three-run homer in the ninth inning put the game out of reach as the Kings (44-26) defeated the Wild Things. A Jacob Dempsey double in the third, Ernie Banks' triple and Grant Psomas' sacrifice fly in the eighth drove in runs for Washington. Wild Things starter Brian McCullough (4-4) went five innings, giving up two runs on seven hits.

Record: 33-37, fourth place in the Frontier League's East Division.

Today's game: 7:05 p.m. vs. Kalamazoo, Consol Energy Park.
