Suspect in fatal hit-and-run in Oakland surrenders
Wednesday, August 05, 2009

A man wanted in a deadly hit-and-run surrendered to police today with his attorney.

Timothy Kish, 51, of Jefferson Hills, is awaiting arraignment on charges of accidents involving death or personal injury.

Pittsburgh police said he was driving a pickup truck at Meyran Avenue and Louisa Street Monday afternoon when he struck Rui Hui Lin, 38, of Oakland, who was riding a bicycle.

The driver of the pickup stopped and approached Mr. Lin but then left the scene before police officers arrived. Mr. Lin was taken to UPMC Presbyterian, where he later died.

Accident investigators requested the help of homicide detectives in their investigation, and those detectives were contacted this morning by Charles Lopresti, Mr. Kish's attorney.
