A bicyclist who was struck by a pickup truck yesterday in Oakland has died.

Rui Hui Lin, 38, was pronounced dead early this morning at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

The hit-and-run incident happened around 2 p.m. at Meyran Avenue and Louisa Street when a large, white pickup struck Mr. Lin.

Police are searching for a newer white Ford F-150 or F-250 that witnesses saw leaving the scene after the driver, believed to be in his late 40s or early 50s, apparently got out and looked over the victim.

Medical personnel said Mr. Lin was not wearing a helmet when he was struck.
