A Clarion County man was seriously hurt when he lost control of his motorcycle early today on Route 208 in Elk, Clarion County.

Robert E. Rex Jr., 51, of Knox, was negotiating a left turn when, for unknown reasons, he "compensated for the turn and traveled off" the road, according to state police at Clarion.

Police described his injuries as "major" and noted he was flown by medical helicopter to UPMC Presbyterian.

He was driving a 2008 Harley-Davidson.

The accident happened at 12:07 a.m.
