Wednesday, July 22, 2009

An 18-month-old girl who was found unresponsive in a closed toy box at her Cranberry home Monday is in critical but stable condition in Children's Hospital.

The family of Camryn Surman found her in a toy box in their house on Blue Ridge Drive around 9:30 a.m. Monday.

She was taken to UPMC Cranberry and transferred to Children's.

"We are extremely thankful for the outpouring of support we have received from family, friends and neighbors during this difficult time," her family said in a statement released yesterday.

The family asked Children's not to release any more information on the girl's condition.
