Bastille Day celebration at the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh
Tuesday, July 21, 2009

At the Bastille Day Celebration Tuesday night, the only thing that was stormed was the crepe station. The party by the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh and Alliance Francaise de Pittsburgh celebrated the beginning of the French Revolution and gave guests a flavor for all things. Harry Thompson chaired the event.

From pommes frites to fabulous macaroons, music and a mime, it was a foreign affair with flair. Mingling were Alliance president Barbara MacQuown, honorary consul to France Jean-Dominique Le Garrec, PG publisher John Block with Susan, Carol Caroselli, Steve Webster, Dr. John McSorley, Jason Busch, Anne Genter and, from Lille, France, Alix Baudin.
