A Monessen man has died of injuries he suffered at 8:53 a.m. today in a collision with a sport utility vehicle while he was riding his motorcycle in Rostraver, police said.
Justin Watson, 32, was taken by helicopter from the scene to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police Lt. John E. Christner said.
Mr. Watson had been northbound on Route 906 just south of Turkey Hollow Road when he lost control of his bike.
The motorcycle crossed into the northbound lanes, where it collided with and scraped along most of the driver's side of a southbound Ford Explorer driven by Gary Bagay, 54, of Donora.
Mr. Watson was thrown from the motorcycle.
Mr. Watson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Mr. Bagay, who suffered minor injuries, declined treatment at the scene.
The crash has been ruled an accident.
