Sara Sidle is coming back to "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

Actress Jorja Fox, who left the CBS crime drama as a regular two years ago, will return as Sara for the 10th-season debut on Sept. 24 and other episodes, CBS said Friday.

Fox, part of "CSI" since the show started, left during its eighth year. She was seen briefly last season, including one episode in which her character reunited with ex-colleague and romantic interest Gus Grissom, played by William Petersen. Petersen left the series last season. CBS didn't say whether Petersen might drop back in next season along with Fox. (Lynn Elber, Associated Press)

Actress Mischa Barton, due to star in fall's CW series "The Beautiful Life" as an aging model, remained hospitalized Friday, two days after Los Angeles police say they escorted her from her home.

Her publicist, Craig Schnei­der, says in a statement that the 23-year-old actress remained in the hospital under doctor's orders. Police say they removed Barton from her home on Wednesday afternoon for a medical problem. The department will not say what it was.
