David L. Somers was selected as the second holder of the Anna Rangos Rizakus Endowed Chair in Health Sciences and Ethics at Duquesne University. Mr. Somers, chairman of the physical therapy department in the Rangos School of Health Sciences since July 2008, was previously assistant director of the department and a founding director of the graduate program in rehabilitation science at Duquesne.

Rob Byer, partner, Duane Morris, was appointed a member of the Appellate Court Procedural Rules Committee of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. His term will expire on June 30, 2011. Mr. Morris is head of the firm's appellate litigation practice.

Cohen & Grigsby said Alexa Forte has joined the firm as director in the immigration practice group. Ms. Forte has exclusively practiced immigration law for more than 18 years, managing compliance projects and consular processing for multinational corporations.

Logistics

GENCO Supply Chain Solutions expanded its reverse logistics solution to include test, remanufacture, repair and refurbishment of consumer electronics and IT equipment, and named Bert Munnikhuis, senior vice president and general manager to lead this new initiative to maximize margin recovery.

Industrial Scientific appointed Griffin Schultz general manager of its sister company, Design, Build, Own, & Operate Inc.

Tim Brown joined East End Cooperative Ministry as community relations coordinator.

The Homeless Children's Education Fund hired Laura Bailey as office manager.

Seth I. Corbin, an employee benefits attorney with the Pittsburgh office of Fox Rothschild LLP, was elected to the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. Mr. Corbin focuses on pension and welfare, executive compensation, employment law, estate planning, corporate law and taxation.
