Steam cleaners
Thane International Inc. is recalling about 580,000 H2O Mop Steam Cleaners. The power cord can unexpectedly wear down and expose the wiring, posing a shock and burn hazard to consumers.
The H2O Mop is an electrically powered appliance for cleaning a variety of floor surfaces that uses microfiber or disposable cloths on a cleaning head through which steam is dispersed. H2O Mops are white with a purple water tank with the "H20" and "M" symbol printed on the top of the cleaning head. The model numbers of affected units are 808.092 and OEM-TV-001. This recall includes only H2O Mops with the following reference numbers printed on the label on the back of the product: 200709198 to 200803148 or H20M1000 to M-H20M1198.
Thane International sold the cleaners through various retailers, television infomercials, on the Web at www.thane.com and on the QVC televised shopping program from June 2007 through December 2008 for about $100.

Toy telephones
Evenflo Co. Inc. is recalling about 25,000 Evenflo Switch-A-Roo Telephone Toys.
A mirror decal attached to the toy can peel away, posing a potential choking hazard.
The recall involves Evenflo Switch-A-Roo telephone toys made between October 2008 and June 2009. The model number is 6391911.
Juvenile product stores nationwide, including Toys 'R Us, sold the toys for about $8.

Youth hooded sweat shirts
Two companies are recalling thousands of hooded sweat shirts and jackets: Propac Distributing Corp. is recalling about 7,000, and EMH Associates Inc. is recalling about 3,000.
The sweat shirts have a drawstring through the hood or waist that could pose a strangulation hazard to children.
The Propac recall involves youth zipper and pullover hooded sweat shirts with drawstrings. The sweat shirts were sold in black, navy and grey. The Proclub brand sweat shirts have RN number 100418 printed on a tag inside the collar.
The EMH Associates jackets were sold in sizes 7/8 through 16 and have RN number 115036 and style numbers WD36687 or WD36689, which is located on the care label of all garments. The jackets come in turquoise and brown plaid, pink, and orange and brown plaid.
Consumers should remove the drawstrings from the sweat shirts to eliminate the hazard, or return the garment with drawstring to the place of purchase for a full refund.
