Mountain Hikes July 17-19
Up one mountain and down another. Up and down. Up ...
But hikers know each mountain provides its own charms, opportunities and dangers -- that's most of the reason for being there.
This week the Keystone Trails Association will sponsor an annual pilgrimage to sprawling 280,000-acre Sproul State Forest for the annual Prowl the Sproul Hiking Weekend. The area includes the 50-mile double loop Chuck Keiper Trail and 52-mile Donut Hole Trail. Several guided hikes are planned, and meals and camp sites are available.
