One person was hurt in a Washington County fire this morning.

A state police fire marshal is investigating.

A Washington County emergency dispatch supervisor said the blaze was reported at 633 Railroad Street in Chartiers at 3:57 a.m. today.

One resident of the house was taken to a local hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation. The family has been displaced and the American Red Cross was at the scene to assist.

The scene was cleared by 8:12 a.m.
