Two people were killed this afternoon in a collision on Route 130 in Penn Township, Westmoreland County.

Emergency dispatchers said the crash, between an SUV and a van, happened about 3:15 p.m. near Level Green Transmission. The two people were trapped, and several fire companies were called to the scene.

The coroner's office has not released the victims' names, and Penn Township police could not immediately be reached for comment.
