A man wanted for failing to appear in court over unpaid child support was arrested today.

Sheriff's deputies spotted Darnell Harper, 44, of East Liberty, on Wylie Avenue in the Hill District and arrested him. He owes $70,162 in back child support, the sheriff's office said.

He will be held in jail until a family court hearing.
