Sto-Rox receiver commits to Pitt
Thursday, July 02, 2009

Sto-Rox wide receiver Andrew Carswell made a verbal commitment to Pitt this afternoon, making him the 11th player from the class of 2010 to commit to the Panthers thus far this summer.

Carswell, who is 6-feet-4, 210 pounds, chose the Panthers over scholarship offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Boston College, Maryland, Syracuse, N.C. State, Stanford, Duke and Syracuse. He is the third player from the WPIAL in next year's class to commit to the Panthers.

He caught 40 passes for 600 yards and six touchdowns last season for Sto-Rox and he made 56 tackles and three interceptions as a defensive back as well.
