The North Allegheny School board did a little housekeeping last week when it approved a variety of items ranging from new meeting times to salaries for the upcoming school year.
Starting in August, the board will hold its workshop and voting meetings at 7 p.m. rather than 7:30 on the second and third Wednesdays of the month.
Also last week, the board approved the 2009-10 salaries for district employees, including its administrators. The top three administrative salaries were Superintendent Patricia Green, $184,875; senior high Principal Lawrence Butterini, $121,765; and Director of Assets, Transportation and Technology Roger Botti, $118,307.
In other business, the board approved a $352,000 contract with I&Y Construction, LLC to provide lighting at the high school baseball and softball fields.
Bob Bozutto, the district's athletic director, has already obtained a $300,000 grant for the project and has specific plans for raising the rest of the money, Dr. Green said.
