A Blairsville man who came to Homewood seeking marijuana and crack cocaine was robbed yesterday, police said, sparking a raid in which officers recovered guns, drugs and cash from two homes.
Police arrested three men after the two-hour raid in the 7000 block of Forest Way.
Timothy Terrance Bazmore, 18, Julian Edward Larkins, 18, and Clifford Anthony Wilson, 19, all of Homewood, face charges including robbery, unlawful restraint, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, conspiracy and drug possession and delivery.
The string of events started about 3:30 a.m. at an Exxon gas station in the 6600 block of Frankstown Avenue, where the 26-year-old Blairsville man told police he had been robbed at a house off of Frankstown.
The man told officers he met another man who took him to a home on Forest Way, where he saw marijuana, heroin and crack cocaine sitting on a table, police said.
The man said he and three other men began to drink and smoke the drugs when talk turned to guns, and the three men each brandished theirs: a Glock handgun, a pistol and an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle.
The man reported being "threatened and assaulted by the actors with the guns," police said. The robbery prompted police to search the homes on Forest Way for firearms.
Police dogs and a SWAT team were called to help. When residents did not immediately surrender, officers broke the windows and searched the homes, police said.
Inside, officers found a .45-caliber pistol, a 9mm pistol, several kinds of ammunition, a "small amount" of marijuana and crack cocaine, cell phones and $1,500 in cash.
