A woman received an injury to her head and ribs in a horseback riding accident in Allegheny Township, Butler County, near Eau Claire.

Butler County emergency dispatch officers said the accident happened about 11:15 a.m. today on the property of the Blosser family farm at 201 Slater Road.

The woman, who was not identified, was taken by emergency medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital.
