A 3-year-old Millvale boy was being treated this morning at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC after he was bitten by his family's dog, emergency dispatchers said.

The incident was reported just before 11 last night at a residence in the 900 block of O'Brien Street, dispatchers said. His condition was not immediately available.

Early reports indicated the boy was bitten in the face and was bleeding severely. No information was available regarding the status of the dog.
