A second man has died as a result of a crash in Westmoreland County.

The crash occurred at 1:30 a.m. today on Route 22 in Salem.

Ryan A. Diehl, 34, of Roaring Spring, Blair County, was eastbound in the westbound lanes when his vehicle crashed into an oncoming vehicle driven by Christopher McDermott.

Mr. Diehl was pronounced dead at the scene by Westmoreland County Deputy Coroner John Ackerman.

Mr. McDermott was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital, and state police reported this afternoon that he has died. His address wasn't immediately available.
