RESTAURANT NEWS

• The former Sweet Basil/La Filipiniana restaurant, Lawrenceville, has been renovated and reopened as an affordable yet gourmet Thai restaurant. Tony Tongdee has opened Pusadee's Garden, named after his mother, with help from his sisters Watcharee and Busaba of Typhoon in Shadyside. WINE AND DINE

• Enrico's Ristorante, Shadyside, is holding a wine dinner June 25 at 7 p.m. The five-course meal paired with wine will include sweet pea and basil soup with seared North Atlantic sea scallops and crispy pancetta and pork tenderloin stuffed with herbs and lemon over sweet potato hash and a fire-roasted corn salad. $85 per person, reservations required; www.enricos-shadyside.com; 412-661-1050.

• Soba, Shadyside, will offer a special menu Monday through June 25 to celebrate its Dragon Boat Festival. The four-course tasting menu is inspired by the cuisine of south-central China, including crispy striped bass, lo mein, fermented black beans, chef chow's and basil and a dessert of szechuan peppercorn meringue with brown sugar ice cream, local strawberries and whipped creme fraiche. $35 per person; wine pairings $20 per person; www.bigburrito.com/soba; 412-362-5656.


SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS

• Lidia's Pittsburgh, Strip District, is celebrating summer squash this month. Special dishes can be ordered a la carte or as part of a three-course prix fixe for $35.
