Rochester Twp. man's death called suspicious
Friday, June 12, 2009

Authorities still are trying to determine how a Beaver County man died Wednesday morning.

The death of Roy Clugston Jr., 63, has been called suspicious by Rochester Township police and Coroner Teri Tatalovich-Rossi.

An autopsy found the cause of death was bleeding from a fractured pelvis, Ms. Tatalovich said today.

A passerby who frequently walks in the neighborhood reported finding the body at about 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Clugston, fully clothed, was found in an empty lot near what used to be bocce courts behind an apartment building in the 500 block of Virginia Avenue.

Mr. Clugston lived nearby on Deer Lane, and he was known to frequent a bar across the street from the lot where he was found.

Ms. Tatalovich pronounced him dead at the scene at 9:30 a.m.
