DONATIONS

Areawide -- Beginning Monday, North Hills Community Outreach will collect new backpacks and school supplies for distribution to low-income children in kindergarten through 12th grade. FESTIVALS

Ross -- Irish step dancers and others will perform during the North Hills Division 4 Ancient Order of Hibernians/Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians' day of Irish entertainment from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Croatian Center, off Babcock Boulevard. Cheswick -- Spina Bifida Association of Western Pennsylvania will hold a summer festival at 4 p.m. June 20 at Greentree Farm, 8 Greentree Lane. Admission is $30 per car. WORKSHOPS

The Pennsylvania Resources Council will demonstrate how to assemble and install a 55-gallon drum/rain barrel, and offer other rainwater harvesting options.
