Seven Fields sets public meeting over Giant Eagle liquor license

Seven Fields council last unanimously approved a motion to advertise a public meeting to discuss Giant Eagle's application for a liquor license.

Giant Eagle plans to sell beer, malt beverages and possibly wine from its cafe inside the supermarket.

Giant Eagle has entered into an agreement to purchase a liquor license, but Seven Fields is required to hold hearing to allow residents to voice their opinions on the issue.

The public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. July 13 in the Seven Fields borough building.
