A woman who died after she was thrown from a motorcycle last night in Beaver County has been identified.

The Beaver County coroner's office said 46-year-old Martha Nye of Fombell died of blunt force trauma to the head.

Pennsylvania State Police said the cycle was headed eastbound on Taggert Road near Valley Road in Darlington at 11:30 p.m. when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and both riders were thrown from the vehicle.

One occupant, Troy Gower, 38, of New Castle, was flown to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. Ms. Nye was pronounced dead at the scene.
