Six passengers on a Greyhound bus suffered injuries, none believed to be life threatening, when their vehicle rear-ended a tractor-trailer in South Strabane on northbound Interstate 79 this afternoon.

Authorities at the Washington County Emergency Operations Center said the accident occurred about 12:30 p.m. not far from the Meadows Racetrack and Casino. After the bus struck the tractor-trailer, both vehicles pulled off the side of the road and traffic continue unabated on the interstate, authorities said.

One child was taken by LifeFlight helicopter to Children's Hospital for evaluation. Similarly, three other passengers were taken by ambulance to Pittsburgh hospitals and two others were taken to local hospitals, authorities said.
