Pro football: Rod Woodson selects presenter for his Hall induction

• Former Steelers cornerback Rod Woodson named Tracy Foster, a friend and business associate, as his presenter when he is inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame Aug. 8 in Canton, Ohio. Woodson and Foster have remained friends since high school.

• The NFL Players Association reached a $26 million settlement with retired players who had successfully sued the union for cutting them out of lucrative marketing deals. The settlement ends an appeal filed by the union in the case.

• The Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans are close to announcing plans for instant-win games through the Texas Lottery. The NFL cleared the way for teams to have licensing agreements with their state-sponsored lotteries during team owners meetings in May, and New England and Washington already have announced such deals.
