Canonsburg council to vote on access road
Tuesday, June 02, 2009

Canonsburg council is expected to vote Monday on an agreement that will allow the construction of an access road, ending in a cul-de-sac, to the proposed Fort Pitt Business Park.

The 700-foot road will provide access to Four Coins Drive, which connects to Weavertown Road. The agreement stipulates the road will be turned over to the borough once completed.

The Redevelopment Authority of the County of Washington requested a separate agreement regarding the road, because it is paying for its construction, which will include underground utilities and lighting.

The authority has awarded a $345,069 bid to Elisha Construction of Belle Vernon. Construction is expected to begin next week and last for two months.
