A Washington County family escaped injury last night when a gas explosion destroyed their mobile home in Roscoe.
Carrie Masten, 92, told KDKA-TV that she and her daughter were on the front porch checking plants when her home exploded in the Lazy D Trailer Court near Route 88 in the Monongahela Valley community. The explosion occurred after Ms. Masten's landlord apparently hit a gas line while working with a backhoe to repair a water line.
No one was seriously hurt, but several firefighters suffered minor burns.
