A Mt. Lebanon High School teacher and tennis coach pleaded guilty yesterday to sexually soliciting an undercover cop posing online as a 14-year-old girl.
Nicholas E. Salvo, 35, of Mt. Lebanon, will be sentenced Aug. 11 by Common Pleas Judge John A. Zottola on felony charges of unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility.
Prosecutors dropped a charge of attempted unlawful contact in exchange for the plea, but there was no agreement on sentencing.
Mr. Salvo was arrested in August after, according to a criminal complaint, he sent explicit videos to an undercover agent with the state attorney general's office posing as a 14-year-old girl. Mr. Salvo chatted with the agent several times in July, the complaint states, and sent nude Webcam videos of himself to her.
Mt. Lebanon schools suspended Mr. Salvo immediately upon his arrest and barred him from school property. A spokeswoman for the school district said yesterday that Mr. Salvo's status is unchanged.
