Summer Times: Good shows for free
Friday, May 15, 2009

Not in the position to be coughing up the big bucks for concerts out in Burgettstown or under the dome?

Not a problem. You can still get your fill of shows this summer, thanks largely to Allegheny County and the Three Rivers Arts Festival.

Steve Earle, The Old 97s, the Black Keys, Booker T, Foghat (whoever's in that band right now) -- they all turn up on the list of free concerts this summer.

In addition to the shows at Hartwood, South Park and Point State Park, note the WYEP Summer Music Festival at Schenley Park Plaza with Canadian rockers the Sam Roberts Band.
