Green Day pays a visit to the Mellon Arena July 22.

It was reasonable to expect that it would be a quiet concert summer, considering the economy, but that's not the way it's shaping up.

Promoters are going for broke with a packed schedule of A-list shows -- from Kenny Chesney to Green Day to NIN with Jane's Addition -- that utilize multiple venues, including two that are reopening: the Amphitheater at Station Square and Riverplex at Sandcastle.

Here is the concert list for venues in the range of 1,000 capacity and over (more detailed weekly schedules can be found in the Weekend Magazine and Sunday Magazine).
